SIR – I was shocked to read about the lady left waiting for nearly 12 hours for a hospital bed (Worcester News, March 1).
This seems to be occurring too frequently. However, the services provided in some hospitals are excellent and need to be highlighted too.
The care that I received recently in the Willows Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at the Evesham Community Hospital was outstanding.
The nurses and staff are caring and attentive, showing kindness and understanding to every patient, which went a long way in helping my recovery.
I am very grateful to them for their professionalism, skill and experience and would like to thank them for all that they did to ensure that I received the best of care.
