SIR – The scandal of privatisation in the NHS grows apace.

Some time ago the Prime Minister gave assurances about the scale and nature of privatisation.

These have now been completely ignored in the latest legislation which the Government had hoped to sneak through Parliament.

As I write, many multinational ‘health’ businesses are drooling over the opportunities awaiting them.

In Worcestershire it appears adult hearing and podiatry are already ‘sold off’.

Each privatisation results in more taxpayers’ money going to corporations with tax bases in ‘favourable tax areas’.

It also runs the danger of services being removed from local NHS hospitals, taking with them the vital revenue that they so desperately need.

These private ‘health’ companies already have a very bad name in running care or residential homes and out of hours GP services.

We don’t want more of it.

This is an outrageous policy that affects us all. If you care about your family’s health, protest to your MP now.It will soon be too late.
