SIR – On Wednesday, February 27, I was taken by ambulance to Worcester A&E unit suffering from severe chest pains.
I was taken into A&E from the ambulance and put on a trolley and not long after moved to a cubicle where I was seen by a nurse who carried out various checks.
While waiting for the duty doctor to visit me I was watching what was going on.
The unit was very busy but the doctors and nurses went about their work in a professional manner, every patient brought in was seen to with the same care I had had.
These doctors and nurses give 100 per cent.
You hear a lot of complaints about the waiting time but they are working flat out for their whole shift and you cannot ask for more than that.
We in Worcestershire should be grateful to the doctors, nurses and ambulance crews for all the efforts they put in to look after and care for us.
I’m glad to say I was discharged later in the day after being seen by doctors, nurses and the X-ray department, all with the same professionalism.
I know people criticise this A&E unit but they are always there when required and I was very grateful for their care last month, as I always have been when I have had to visit in the past.
