SIR – I see some nice new homes have been built at Dines Green in Worcester.
Congratulations to the council for that.
The council seems to be building farther and farther out of town and yet it doesn’t supply the buses to get people into town.
If it does, the fares are so ridiculously high they put people off using them.
I see buses running round the town with just two or three people on them – this is no way to run a service.
Go to their other places the same size as Worcester and you see trams and buses ferrying people about.
I really think it is about time the council sorted the bus situation out in Worcester – we need competition.
As things are now many people can’t get home after a late shift.
I know the cry will go up from the council that there is no money available but Worcester seems to be going backwards.
We need a better bus service with lower prices.
JOHN SHEARON
