SIR – With reference to Bob Churchill’s letter defending homosexual marriages (Worcester News, January 21), I find that the entire subject is not just boring, absurd and obsessional – it has become voyeuristic and indeed pornographic.

Marriage can only happen between a man and a woman, and both contracting parties should show and exercise a mature commitment and a strong sense of responsibility.

Homosexuals are free to do their own thing and live together, if they wish, but let nobody bring in ethics, civil rights, registrations and consecrations.

Members of Parliament should deal with problems of public order and of national defence and economy.
