Sir – According to the report by Tom Edwards (Worcester News, January 25), Worcester planning chiefs have given their first thumbs up to a new swimming pool with soft play area, a gym, exercise studios, etc, as well as car parking spaces for 415 cars, at Perdiswell.
I trust we shall not have to wait any longer for the county highway authority to consider pedestrian safety at the junction of Astwood Road, in view of the increased traffic that would result.
It is extremely difficult, even now, for anyone – and practically impossible for some elderly people – to cross on foot, so any extra vehicles would make the situation even more of a nightmare.
