Sir – Why has a raft of A-boards been allowed to proliferate and clutter the city?
Not content with small signs, there now also appears to be A-board envy with businesses trying to outdo each other with a larger one.
Not many years ago the council actually had a purge on this nuisance, so I am surprised that we have allowed this to happen.
I realise we are in a tough economic climate (when aren’t we?), but unless your shop is tucked away down an obscure alleyway I see no point in having these obstacles to negotiate.
