Hello all
I would like to thank everyone in Bengeworth that took time out to vote and re-elect me as one of the local councillors for the next four years.
I would also like to thank my fellow councillors for selecting me for the Mayoral role for the next Civic year.
Thank you I’ll try not to let both electorate of councillors down.
I was inaugurated on May 15 and had a very enjoyable night.
Thank you Valkyrie bar staff. The Guys of Working World for a superb buffet .
Also thank you Flat Tonic for providing an hour of music. Well done and hope all went well for you three on the Tuesday.
My term began with an invite from the Hawthorns to present resident Annie Cox with a birthday card from King Charles and Queen Camilla on he 100th birthday.
My Mayoress Cllr Chrissy Smith presented Annie with a card and flowers on behalf of the town. A great way to start my term.
Culmination of the week was the opening of the Medieval Market. Over 100 re-enactors and 100+ stalls.
So many folks in town should have been good for the economy of our town. The sun showed the park and river at its best. A huge thank you must go to Mick Hurst and his volunteers.
Thank you all!
Alan Booth
Mayor of Evesham
