WORCESTER has seen the the biggest weekly rise in cases among Worcestershire's six districts latest data shows.
As many as 486 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Worcester in the week up to October 23 according to Public Health England - a rise of 42.5 compared to the previous week.
The figures were published as it was also revealed that seven Covid deaths were recorded for county hospitals in the past seven days.
New cases increased in the county to 3,259 - a rise of 2.8 per cent.
The highest number of cases in Worcestershire were recorded in Wychavon at 738 for the week. That was a rise of 3.1 per cent in the area which includes Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich.
As many as 311 cases were recorded in Malvern, where cases rose 9.1 per cent in a week, while a total of 632 cases were recorded in Bromsgrove, a rise of 0.6 per cent.
The only places to see falls in the number of new cases were Wyre Forest, which includes Kidderminster, and Redditch.
A total of 589 cases were recorded in Wyre Forest, a fall of 12.1 per cent, while Redditch recorded 503, a 4.9 per cent drop.
The latest NHS figures show a total of 50 people were in hospital in Worcestershire with Covid-19 on Tuesday, October 26, including two people in intensive care.
Figures for the week, up to October 29, show the newly recorded deaths all came at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust with its total moving to 870.
There have been no newly announced Covid deaths at the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust with its total remaining at 64. It means in total there have been 934 Covid-related deaths in county hospitals during the pandemic.
The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.
Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.
