THERE are six new names on the list of Worcester food businesses that have received five star food hygiene ratings from health inspectors.
A number of cafes are among those listed after latest inspections by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
Ratings are judged by inspectors over the standards in the handling of food, how food is stored, how food is prepared, cleanliness of facilities and pest control, how food safety is managed and evidence staff know about food safety.
Five-star Worcester businesses to make the list, and the date they were inspected, are:
- Time To Eat, The Hopmarket, The Foregate (August 19)
- Wok 'N' Roll, Ankerage Green (August 26)
- Cabin Cafe At The Building Centre, Tolladine Road (August 27)
- Creams Cafe Worcester, St Nicholas Street (August 19)
- Iceland, Friary Walk, (August 19)
- Paradiddles, Sidbury (August 19)
Among the other businesses to receive a five star rating last month were:
- Lyppard Fryer, Ankerage Green (August 13)
- Costa, High Street (August 12)
- Mix, St Pauls Street (August 12)
- Nando's, Friar Street (August 12)
- Starbucks, The Cross (August 12)
- The Full English Cafe, Astwood Road (August 11)
- The Punchbowl Inn, Lichfield Avenue (August 13)
- The Three Pears, Wainwright Road (August 13)
- Ground Espresso Bar At Next, Elgar Retail Park, Blackpole Road (August 4)
- Broomfields Farm Shop, School Plantation, Holt Heath (August 2)
- Meneki Ramen, Farrier Street (August 6)
- Anaz Balti, St Johns (August 10)
- Charlies Cafe Bar, Sidbury (August 5)
- Corner Cafe & Restaurant At Like U CIO, Westbury Street (August 5)
- Cote Brasserie, High Street (July 30)
- Luckys Lunch Box, Cosgrove Close (August 5)
- St Richards Hospice, St Swithins Street (August 5)
- The Northwick Arms, Vine Street (August 6)
Meanwhile there are no new names on the list of one-star food rated businesses. This means the list of one star-rated places remains:
- Age UK Worcester And District Lunch Club
- Bilford Court and Your’s Pizza Bite / Little India in Ronkswood Hill.
- Groszek in Lowesmoor
