A FLOOD alert has been issued following heavy downpours in Worcestershire.
The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert, urging people to be prepared.
Flooding is "possible" at Bow Piddle Brook.
This comes after a thunderstorm hit the county this afternoon (May 9), bringing with it heavy rain, deafening thunder and frequent lightning.
In response to this alert, the Environment Agency has advised people to avoid low-lying footpaths and from entering areas prone to flooding.
National Rail has warned passengers of potential cancellations.
This comes as a result of flooding between Worcester and Cheltenham.
