AS spring finally gets under way and the UK gears up for a potential summer drought, a new lawn treatment service available in south Worcestershire for the first time is helping keep grass greener for longer.

Green Thumb is launching its first Malvern franchise, offering a four-step process to cultivating the perfect lawn, with a moisture retaining spray as the latest edition to its treatment armoury.

Richard Kerby, owner of the Malvern franchise, said: "Our standard lawn treatment is able to eradicate weeds and improve the condition of the grass at a cheaper cost than doing it yourself.

"The launch of this latest spray technology is particularly timely with a predicted dry summer approaching and our full service is now available to homeowners across the Malverns."

The spray, pioneered on golf courses and tested across the country by Green Thumb experts, directs the smallest amounts of water down to the grass roots. The regular feed and weed service uses the latest in horticulture technology, including Nutragreen[TM] and Advanced No-Scorch treatments.

Four annual stages are spread over spring, early summer, late summer and autumn with a different remedy at each stage, based on giving the lawn the right food at the right time.

The fertiliser aims to improve colour and texture, while the weed killer and attendance removes unwanted blemishes.
