WORCESTER’S St Richard’s Hospice is urging local businesses to adopt it as charity of the year 2009 to help celebrate 25 years of care.
Next year marks the hospice’s silver anniversary and will see a host of special events taking place.
St Richard’s fund-raising manager Tricia Cavell said: “2009 will be a very special year for the hospice and we would encourage businesses, clubs, groups or schools to choose to support our work caring for patients and families living with cancer and other life-threatening illness. There are all sorts of fund-raising initiatives such as holding A silver raffle, a silver dress down or up day, giving £25 in our 25th year through payroll giving, challenge the workforce to raise £25 each month during the year or even a silver swear box.
“The team at St Richard’s will give support throughout the year, helping with your events, literature, promotions and advice on fund-raising. We can also talk to your business or community group about the work of the hospice, motivating employees and members to have fun while fund-raising.”
