ONE of Worcester’s best known business names is on the move.
Faithful – which was formerly Faithful Overalls – has left its works in Barbourne for Hartlebury Trading Estate.
A leading UK manufacturer and supplier of clothing for people at work, Faithful will increase its space by 35 per cent and consolidate its business on one site.
Now part of Crown East Group, the company has agreed terms to lease a 113,000 sq ft industrial complex at the 180-acre Hartlebury Trading Estate from where it will warehouse and distribute more than 17,000 stock items of clothing for people at work.
Founded more than 175 years ago and for many years operating from Northwick Road, Worcester, Faithful is moving its entire workforce of 55 to nearby Hartlebury.
“The move to Hartlebury Trading Estate represents a huge investment to facilitate our ambitious future growth plans,” said Keith Pennington, Faithful’s managing director. “Mindful of the employee legacy in skills and experience, the search area and criterion for a larger facility was a combination of proximity to our exiting workforce, good communications and a quality, well- managed business location.”
With good access to the motorway network and to the greater Midlands conurbation, Hartlebury Trading Estate has become an established distribution location for firms such as ANC Parcels, City Link and TNT.
