YOUNG people in Worcestershire have more chance of realising their potential thanks to a £1,600 donation to The Prince's Trust from staff at Worcester property developers Mainstay.

As its chosen charity of the year in 2007, Mainstay organised several events at its office in Whittington Road, including Christmas and Easter raffles, and a number of staff "dress down days".

Sheila Nash, chairwoman of the Mainstay social committee, said: "All our staff enjoy taking part in fund-raising activities, especially dress down Friday', and have been happy to contribute to The Prince's Trust to support the very worthwhile work that it does in the local area."

Through practical support, including training, mentoring and financial assistance, The Prince's Trust helps 14- to-30-year-olds to realise their potential and transform their lives.

Alex Lamb, of The Prince's Trust, said: "We are extremely grateful to the staff at Mainstay for their generosity and enthusiasm for the work of The Trust."
