FEMALE entrepreneurs can take part in a free workshop in Malvern this month.
The Women's Business Development Agency is holding the informal session to encourage more women to develop their business idea and boost their confidence.
The Be Your Own Boss workshop will be held at Malvern Library in Graham Road between 10am and 2.30pm on Wednesday, February 20.
Marla Nelson from WBDA - one of Business Link West Midlands' specialist enterprise support providers - said the workshops had been designed for women who had thought about setting up their own business but were not sure how to get started.
"I am sure there are loads of women in Worcestershire who have thought about becoming self-employed and have spotted a gap in a particular market with a great idea but are not certain what to do next," she said.
"We want to get across the message that starting a new business isn't as hard as you might think.
"The workshop will help women overcome any fears and worries they may have, work their idea into a business plan, find out answers to questions they have wanted to ask and erase any stereotypes or common myths about running their own business. Everyone who attends the workshop will also be given access to a free business adviser who will help them every step of the way and 60 hours of on-line learning which covers topics such as financial planning and sales and marketing.
"Since all the modules are online it allows women to learn at a time and pace which suits them and it is the most comprehensive women's business support site in the UK."
