WORCESTERSHIRE'S specialist internet services provider Netsecrets has launched a unique corporate blogging service for the Midlands business community in a bid to help companies increase their presence on the web.

The Stockwood-based company has developed and produced the new managed corporate blog service, which provides small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a new way to communicate with clients, employees and other stakeholders around the world via a regular blog live on the internet.

It is one of the first packages of its kind to help companies increase their visibility on the internet through increased exposure in search engines as well as social networking sites such as Facebook, Stumbleupon and del.icio.us The blogs made via the new managed corporate blog system produce feeds, which transport new content to the leading search engines and social network websites, producing increased exposure.

Tony Burt, managing director of Netsecrets, said: "There are now more than 100 million blogs in existence on the world wide web. The vast majority are of a personal nature, but we recognised that major corporations were increasingly making use of this medium to promote themselves. However we discovered very few SMEs were taking advantage of this opportunity, so we decided to help fill this void by putting together the managed corporate blog.

"We are really proud of the new service and we are confident it will help businesses across the Midlands increase their corporate communication and presence on the internet."

The managed corporate blog produces a blog customised to match the corporate style of a company's main website to maintain a corporate identity.
