PLANNING a wedding doesn't have to be stressful thanks to a new Worcestershire business.
Marianne Harth, who was born and brought up in Broadway, near Evesham, is running a franchise of Every Detail in the region to help brides-to-be ensure their big day goes smoothly.
From organising the entire day to just sorting out the venue or cake, Ms Harth is there to help.
The 27-year-old has received help and advice from the Women's Business Development Agency (WBDA), which is running a Be Your Own Boss workshop at Malvern Library in Graham Road, Malvern, from 10am until 1.30pm on Wednesday, January 23. The WBDA is one of West Midlands Business Link's specialist enterprise support providers.
Women who complete the workshop can access business advice and support from a WBDA adviser and can take advantage of up to 60 hours of on-line learning at www.westmidlandswoman.co.uk Marianne decided to become a professional wedding planner while working in the hospitality industry after graduating from Birmingham University with a degree in hospitality business management.
The former student at Evesham's Prince Henry's High School has also been given a helping hand by the WBDA. She said: "When I first thought of the idea, I approached WBDA for their advice and found them to be really helpful and friendly. It is important that you talk to someone with experience, to make sure you are going in the right direction."
Michelle Grindley from the WBDA said women considering starting their own business in 2008 should go along to the workshop at Malvern Library for advice.
"The workshops are free and informal," she said. "The whole idea is to help women, just like Marianne, develop their business idea and answer any questions."
