A new discount scheme aimed at saving money for Worcester people has recently opened its doors in the city.
Set up by local businessman David Taylor, more than 30 Worcester shops and businesses have so far agreed to offer his ukwebsaver members discounts on anything from restaurant meals to car servicing and taxi hire.
"We have been highly delighted with the response that we've received from businesses in the city, many of which are always looking at ways that they can attract more local custom," he said."Many small shops and businesses look enviously at the big supermarkets which are able to offer discount card schemes. This is a way for the small businessman to fight back, as it enables them to have their own scheme with very little outlay.
"Our plans in Worcester are to have at least 150 offers available to members by the end of the year," he said.
