BOSSES from Worcester storage specialists Stock N Lock Self Storage couldn't resist a try-out when they handed over a donation of £3,000 to update outdoor play space at Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Ryan Kemili, Self Storage business manager, and Robert Tonks, assistant business manager, presented the funds to Helen Dowdeswell, Acorns major donor manager, before having a go on the slide and trike at the Bath Road hospice. The outdoor play space – known as the Caribbean garden – as well as other areas of the hospice’s extensive gardens, are undergoing refurbishment. A new and specialist play surface has been laid featuring a racetrack design and garden borders will be refreshed with new shrubs and plants.
Miss Dowdeswell said: “The outdoor space at the hospice is a really important part of the care we provide so we’re very grateful for this donation and the continued support of Stock N Lock."
Acorns provides care and support to life limited and life threatened children and their families from across Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.
