TROPHIES and certificates of achievement were handed out to builders and developers at Malvern Hills District Council's Built In Quality Awards.
The awards ceremony, at the Foley Arms Hotel, Malvern, recognises outstanding quality construction within the region.
From the 60 nominations submitted by homeowners and surveyors, 18 builders were shortlisted within six categories.
The winners were: Single dwelling, C P Langstone; multiple dwelling, Parish Developments Ltd; domestic extension, Ridgewood Construction; domestic alteration, Oak N More Construction; conversion to dwelling, James Legge Ltd; commercial, Warings.
Highly commended awards were presented to: A Thompson, Ballingers of Malvern, CA Cox Builders, Drinkwater and Son Ltd, Elmwood Joinery, G D Pugh Builders, McLaren Construction, MDG Refurbishments, Regal Executive Homes, Rosemead Homes Ltd and Severn Vale.
Guest speakers at the event were local authority building control business development director Graham Lee and Malvern Hills District Council's portfolio holder for planning and sustainability John Raine.
The winners will be entitled to use the Built In Quality logo. They will also be put forward for the finals of the national Built In Quality Awards which will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, in October.
