The premises has just received a complete update doubling the sales area, which now incorporates a delicatessen with a selected range of meats and cheeses accompanied by locally made jams, chutneys and honey.
Mr Maiden said: "All business's change and develop to differing market conditions. Generally, the bakery has identified its core customer base – residents of the town, visitors to the town and people who work in and around Upton. The bakery produces a variety of breads and confectionery produced daily form locally sourced fresh ingredients. We also have an increased range of 'take away' hot and cold snacks. A selection of freshly filled rolls and hot pies and pasties satisfy the busy lunch time demand.
"Cooks excels in its approach to customer service with carefully chosen pleasant and helpful counter staff. This, value for money and the quality of our products remains our strength in ensuring we are optimising our sales potential."
