WORCESTER-based accountancy firm Rabjohns has gone into the football sponsorship business with Deportivo el Domingo.

Sadly, this does not mean regular trips to Spain to watch the boys, but more likely to local sports centres. Deportivo was created in 2006 and competes weekly in the premier division of the Nunnery Wood Sports Complex Summer League, finishing fourth out of a possible 17 teams during its inaugural season.

Rabjohns was the first company approached by Deportivo el Domingo.

Chairman Ian Smith said: "We are always looking at different ways to spread the Rabjohns brand and this seemed a fantastic opportunity not only to do that, but to put something into grass roots sport".

This is not the first time Rabjohns has sponsored a local team, having sponsored Upton-upon-Severn Rugby Club, and has strong ties with Worcester Rugby Club and Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

Deportivo el Domingo manager Adam Kent said: "Rabjohns has enabled the team to buy a superb kit, and in doing so has also secured our long-term future.
