A WORCESTERSHIRE housing association has been given a quality kite mark for its sheltered housing services.

Worcester Community Housing (WCH) was given the code of practice for sheltered housing mark from the Centre for Sheltered Housing Studies.

WCH chairman Nick Baldwin said: "This is well-deserved recognition of the work that is carried out by all staff involved in our sheltered housing service.

"It clearly demonstrates the outstanding commitment we have to service standards in Worcester and to making sure our residents receive the highest quality support and care."

Sheltered housing manager Nina Chinery said: "It has taken more than a year to achieve accreditation.

"Our working group, which includes two residents, has helped us to develop a continuous improvement plan which will make sure we live and breathe the code in our day-to-day work and that we retain the accreditation when we are reviewed in three years' time."
