BRA wars could break out in Worcester High Street. Following in the wake of Ann Summers opening a shop in High Street, now lingerie specialist Triumph is looking for a high profile site in the city.

Retail property consultants Macarthur Wilson has been appointed to find shop premises that measure up to the requirements of Triumph International Ltd, Europe's largest manufacturer of women's lingerie, sports bras, swimwear and night clothes.

Petri Haikola, the company's general manager for sales and marketing, said: "In line with Triumph Group global strategy, Triumph International Ltd is evaluating retail opportunities in the United Kingdom.

"This may lead to the opening of some Triumph stores in the south and south-west of England by the end of this year. These concept stores, selling all Triumph major brands, will give consumers and other retailers the chance to appreciate Triumph's complete collections and visual merchandising."

Bristol-based Macarthur Wilson is looking for shops between 95 square metres and 120 square metres in prime shopping areas.

Andy Sturrock, of Macarthur Wilson, said: "Worcester is very much a target area. We are also looking to obtain premises in locations such as Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bath and Bristol. Any landlords who feel they may have suitable property should contact us immediately."

Triumph was founded in 1886 and is one of the world's largest manufacturers of underwear.

It has about 42,500 employees and an annual turnover of more than £1 billion.
