CHRISTMAS will be a little more relaxing for Sue Williams of Battenhall, Worcester, after winning a £1,000 chair in a draw to celebrate a local retailer's 30th anniversary.

Mrs Williams entered the competition organised by independent furniture and design outlet Insitu of New Street at Malvern Autumn Show in September. She received her Stressless' chair and stool at an event at the store from founder and owner Jonathan Macmillan.

Mr Macmillan also donated a chair to the local charity judged most in need as a way of giving something back to the community that has supported his business over the past 30 years. This chair went to Mentor Link of Weir Lane, Lower Wick, which helps children in need of support.

Mr Macmillan said: "l know many charities work tirelessly to provide vital support in the community and I wanted to say 'thank you' in the way I know best through awarding a brand new, high quality piece of furniture as my contribution to your services."
