MALVERN'S award winning company Textlocal has another commendation for its corporate wall.

The company based on the town's Science Park in Geraldine Road received was highly commended in the best small business service category at the World Communication awards for its Messenger platform.

The event at Wembley Arena is one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the global communications world, with entries from a diverse set of providers and countries, the nomination alone was a sign the Messenger platform offers something unique to businesses. A panel of eighteen judges made up of senior executives from some of the most successful companies in the global communications sphere whittled down the mass of entries and Malvern’s Textlocal was shortlisted alongside Vodafone, AT&T and Turkcell.

Textlocal managing director, Jason Palgrave-Jones, said: "It comes as no surprise to me that the judges recognised the potential in Messenger. For 10 years, our dedicated technical team have been building and improving the platform to meet the needs of all of our customers, so I’m pleased that our hard work has been rewarded.

“It’s a real honour to even be nominated against such strong names as AT&T and Vodafone, and it’s great to see that we’re able to hold our own in such a competitive arena. We’ve got great things planned for the platform in the future, so I hope to see us taking the top award next time.”

Textlocal was formed in 2005 and its services enable businesses to instantly communicate via their online portal with customers, members or staff through the medium of the mobile phone.
