WIRE (Women in Rural Enterprise) is continuing its opening doors project in Malvern with a workshop on how to develop a website and trade online.
Completely free, Opening Doors is a unique programme of workshops, training, support and information to help local women, of any age and background, launch their own business.
The workshop is being held at the Enigma Business Centre in Malvern on May 13, between 10am and 2.30pm.
It will cover all aspects of developing a website, from choosing a domain name for the site to deciding on content and design. Online trading will also be included in the session, giving participants the chance to think about whether having an e-commerce site is right for their business.
Christine Rutherford is the project officer for Hereford-shire and Worcestershire, who co-ordinates all Opening Doors events and works one-to-one with each participant.
She covers everything from the planning and research stage of setting up a business to its launch and first 12 months of trading.
She said: "Having a website for your business can seem a daunting prospect to many women who are just starting out. The session will be relaxed but informative and everything will be explained simply and clearly so people with a fear of technology have no need to worry."
To book a place on the workshop, or for more information about the programme, call Ms Rutherford on 01952 815319 or e-mail christine@wireuk.org Further information on Opening Doors can be found at www.wireuk.org
