SIX youngsters caught some great prizes after choosing names for the new arrivals at Blooms of Bressingham garden centre, Droitwich Road, Worcester.
Cheryl Clarke, the aquatics supervisor at the centre, said: "We had a new aquarium installed in the Black Pear Café at Blooms and decided to run a competition to name the six fish that were in there."
"They caused a lot of interest and the children who visited the centre seemed to be especially fascinated by them."
The fish, all types of fancy goldfish, were all very distinctive with different characteristics.
Bob Tannahill, the centre's manager, said: "We had some really great suggestions for their names. It was very hard to choose the winners, but we think all the fish now have names which match their characters."
Five of the children all won propagator sets and an assortment of gardening goodies.
The overall winner of the competition was Beth Jones, who named one of the fish Sharkoal. She took home a fully equipped aquarium.
The fish - Splodge, Cappuccino, Bod, Sharkoal, Lola, and Goggles - are now all happily swimming around their new home and can be visited in the Black Pear Café at Blooms garden centre. Visitors to the garden centre will now be able to enjoy refreshments while watching the fish in their tank.
