A MAJOR farming industry seminar is to take place at Worcester's Sixways centre on Thursday, March 19.
Experts from Worcestershire law firm mfg Solicitors and the Country Land & Business Association will host the free event which will feature a panel of specialists giving their insights based on a rural-related case study. The panel will cover issues including farming family business structures, diversification, succession planning and protecting family assets by way of pre-nuptial agreements.
Helen Gough, senior assistant solicitor at mfg Solicitors, said: “We will have a variety of experts at the seminar and the panel is packed full of legal and land professionals who have extensive experience in the sector. This year the event will be based around a case study and each panel member will input their own expertise. People will also have the opportunity to ask questions and debate the topics raised.
“The agricultural industry is going through some enormous change at present. Alongside our partners at the CLA we want to tackle the issues facing farmers and landowners and ensure they are informed and confident about the future.”
Those interested in attending the two-hour seminar, which includes a light buffet, must pre-register for tickets. To reserve a place, readers can email Debbie Nicholson at the CLA through Debbie.nicholson@cla.org.uk or telephone 01785 337010.
