AUCTIONEERS McCartneys, which runs Worcester livestock market, has launched a photography competition inviting entrants to capture “the spirit of rural border life and property.” The winning shots will be featured in McCartneys 2015 calendar, which is distributed to thousands of homes and businesses and the winning photographers will receive vouchers for photography shops.
Judges will include TV weather girl Sian Lloyd, Ludlow based photographer Gareth Thomas, famous for his landscape and wildlife shots, and McCartneys PR manager Zoe Herbert .
“We are absolutely delighted to have judges of such high quality involved with the competition,” said Tom Carter, partner with McCartneys. “With Gareth’s technical knowledge and familiarity of the subject area and Sian’s passion for Mid Wales and surrounds we feel that we have a perfect balance on our judging panel. Entries are already coming in and we look forward to seeing all the different perspectives of the spirit of rural border life and property that people can capture. ”
Senior and juniors (under 16) can enter the competition which runs until May 31.
