THE future's looking brighter for Berry Hill Industrial Estate in Droitwich following the completion of two deals totalling more than 100,000 sq ft. 365 Healthcare has expanded its capacity by moving from a 20,000 sq ft site at nearby Stonebridge Cross to 58,000 sq ft at Berry Hill while Owen Logistics, which was already based at the estate, has also purchased the freehold of its 52,000 sq ft unit.
Andrew Cosnett from JLL, which acts as selling agents on the site, said: "It's fair to say we haven't seen a lot of movement on this site for a while and now with two major units taken up in recent months, it would suggest the market is definitely on the upturn. Certainly sites of this size are becoming scarcer in the area, which has always been popular with logistics companies and businesses needing to distribute products throughout the central region. Droitwich is home to some pretty major operators including Muller Robert Wiseman and Vax, which is currently investing in a 200,000 sq ft distribution unit in the area."
Phil Merrick, head of community services at Wychavon District Council, added: "Wychavon is extremely proactive as a council in working with enterprising businesses in the area. To see this level of investment by two established names is fantastic news and we hope we can continue to support their future growth on Berry Hill."
