A CARAVAN dealership with a sales centre in Stourport-on-Severn has been recognised for its courtesy and high standard of customer service. Peter Foot , chairman of the National Campaign for Courtesy, visited Salop Leisure to present certificates to recognise the company's exceptional courtesy.
Salop Leisure has long supported the courtesy campaign, the founder of which, retired Congregational minister Ian Gregory from Newcastle under Lyme, was invited to run a day course for its staff in 2007. The campaign stands for good manners, respect for self and others and courtesy for all.
“We were delighted to receive recognition from the National Campaign for Courtesy,” said Salop Leisure's chairman Tony Bywater. “Because we have built the company over nearly 50 years on being polite, courteous and caring towards each other and to our customers. Politeness and treating people with respect are things that have always been close to my heart and have contributed to the success of the business over the years. I think every business or organisation that deals with the public should prioritise politeness and courtesy, which are often in short supply in our society.”
Mr Foot added that the reception he received at Salop Leisure was “absolutely wonderful” and said: “Everybody seemed to be wearing a smile.”
