Webbs Garden Centre at Wychbold, near Droitwich is helping children’s hospice gardens grow after raising £1,900 for charity. The cash came from Garden Re-Leaf Day and involved a range of activities from staff wearing onesies to work, a cake sale and raffle for customers. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the Webbs 2014 calendar were also donated to the cause.
Company chairman Ed Webb said: "t was great to see staff and customers support such a fantastic cause. I’m delighted that together we have raised such a great sum to help create magical hospice gardens.”
Garden Re-Leaf Day is now a major feature on the garden industry calendar. In the first two years it raised more than £116,000 for Greenfingers, a charity which creates gardens in children’s hospices around the country.
