AE AEROSPACE, a major customer of Worcester-based machine tool giant Yamzaki Mazak, has completed a management buyout as it prepares to expand. Aerospace has announced it is looking to purchase five more machines from Mazak in the coming 12 months to further enhance machining capabilities in new markets and strengthen its existing offering to the likes of Rolls-Royce, Bombardier and BAE Systems.

The company was set up in Birmingham in 1996 to service the aftermarket needs of the aerospace industry and has gone from strength to strength, delivering a broad range of engineering solutions to the civil precision components market, which demands fast reaction times and bespoke, high-quality, precision parts, as well as working on military projects in a variety of sectors.

A n Aerospace spokesman said: "It has been company policy for many years to buy Mazak CNC Machine Tools as they manufacture high precision and high quality equipment which is essential in the aerospace Industry. The company has sourced all its Mazak machinery through the Worcester based supplier. In the past 18 months it has purchased two machines which have extended its 5-Axis machining capabilities and is looking to purchase a further five machines in the coming 12 months to replace and further enhance machining capabilities."
