MORE than 900 visitors from businesses across the two counties called in at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Expo on the Three Counties Showground at Malvern. Michael Williams from Water Cooler World, which sponsored the event, said: "It was a fantastic day, we were busy all day. There was a great footfall and great leads."
In addition to the extensive exhibition area the event, held in association with Hewitt Recruitment, offered four seminars ranging from marketing advice to embracing technology and all delivered for free to delegates. The Chamber also have everyone a chance to have a go at the Chamber Cube challenge, which was based on the popular television programme and attracted a lot of interest and some very competitive behaviour. The aim was to encourage the business community to interact and compete against one another. Contestants from more than 60 different businesses took part, completing four simple challenges against the clock and were competing for a top prize worth more than £1000. The eventual winner was Hamish Gill from F8 Creates of The Trinity, Worcester.
Sharon Williams, acting chief executive of the Chamber, said: "The event was a huge success. There has been such a positive atmosphere with business being done and lots of leads generated."
