A PAIR of city primary schools were treated to a trip to the panto by a local business.
Youngsters from Dines Green Primary School and Gorse Hill Primary School were taken to Worcester's Swan Theatre for a performance of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs by city insurance brokers Clarke Roxburgh.
The company, which has an office in Foregate Street, Worcester, took Dines Green last year, who enjoyed it so much that the company decided to extend the invitation to Gorse Hill Primary as well.
A Gorse Hill spokesman said: "For many of the children, it was their first visit to a theatre and it was an absolute joy for their teacher to watch them having such a wonderful time.
"The children seemed very inspired by the performance. And with many local actors making up the cast, who knows, in years to come maybe one of our pupils will be playing the lead role."
Dines Green headteacher Stephen Gough said: "We were delighted to be joined by Gorse Hill this year for another memorable afternoon at the theatre.
"I know how much the children enjoyed themselves last year so I was thrilled that we were asked back again this year."
Simon Egerton, managing director of Clarke Roxburgh, said: "It's very important for us as a company to give something back to the community.
"We have developed a special relationship with the Swan Theatre, sponsoring it over the past few years, so to do something in conjunction with them made perfect sense."
