A PAIR of up and coming solicitors are celebrating after completing their training contracts with one of Worcestershire’s leading law firms.
Lawyers Alexandra Phil-lips and Sophie Millard have completed their training contracts and are now set to take on more clients and cases at county firm mfg Solicitors, where they have been training since September 2011.
The legal duo have worked their way through the ranks at the firm where they started as paralegals.
And now she is fully qualified, 28-year-old Miss Millard will continue to work closely with partner Sarah Astbury as part of the firm’s corporate team in Kidderminster, where she will specialise in commercial law.
Meanwhile, 32-year-old Miss Phillips will continue to build on her growing reputation as an agricultural and rural affairs specialist working at mfg’s Worcester office with partner Iain Morrison.
Maynard Burton, partner and chairman at mfg Solicitors, said the pair had shown ability throughout their training.
“Alexandra and Sophie have excelled during their two years as trainees and before that in their roles as paralegals,” Mr Burton said.
“They have exactly the kind of talent and professionalism we are looking for.
“Like all good businesses, we know the value of high quality training but it is also just as important to have the right trainees.
“It is a long process to train as a solicitor and Alexandra and Sophie deserve their success.
“We are confident that they will go from strength to strength.”
