MORE than 60 new homes are to be built on a seven-acre parcel of land in the village of Wychbold, between Droitwich and Bromsgrove.
The site, off Crown Lane, has been earmarked for development by Persimmon Homes South Midlands.
Having gained planning permission, the developers are planning to start work this month with properties expected to go on the market in 2014.
The development will eventually provide 61 new houses with a selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes.
Richard Oldroyd, the firm’s managing director, said: “The £11 million development, named Elmbridge Gardens, will provide quality new homes for people looking to move to a semi-rural location with excellent transport links and access to facilities in Bromsgrove and Droitwich.”
In addition to the new properties, the development will also benefit from a contribution made by Persimmon Homes to help fund education, cycling, leisure and public open spaces in the area.
Mr Oldroyd said: “We take pride in all we do from selecting sites in prime locations, to our high standard of workmanship and the service we provide to our customers both during and after they purchase a home from us.”
