A TEAM of managers from Worcester-based Southco Manufacturing collected their university diploma in leadership and management at a special awards event at the University of Worcester’s Business School.
The diploma was an adaptation of the university’s established Leading to Excellence management development programme.
It was delivered jointly by Southco and the business school.
Su Austin, director of HRD for the European region from Southco, said: “Worcester Business School’s approach allowed us to take time to fully understand the business need.
“Together we developed a solution to achieve our leadership and development objectives.
“As an employer, Southco is committed to the development of our people and this is a good example of our approach.”
Tim Maxfield, director of business development in the business school, said: “We are delighted to have worked with Southco.
“This type of programme emphasises the role the business school can play in the development of the local and regional economy.”
