A GROCER’S stall that has kept Pershore in fruit and veg for almost four decades has been recognised for its long service to the town.
Ken and Jen Mason and Daughters in Pershore Retail Market was presented with the Mayor’s Award by mayor Charles Tucker.
He said: “The Mayor’s Award is for excellent service to the community of Pershore. Ken and Jen Mason and their three daughters have been running their fruit and veg stall in Pershore Market for the past 36 years, come rain or shine. They have truly given a lifetime of service to Pershore.”
Sandra Mason, of the family business, said: “We’ve been here 36 years and I think it’s because of the customers’ loyalty. We enjoy being here. The award has made us feel very proud and appreciated, and it has taken pride of place in our stall.”
