A GIRL Guide from Worcester has been recognised for her dedication to the movement.
Kristina Lockyer, of 10th Worcester Guides in St John’s, was presented with the Baden Powell Challenge Award by assistant division commissioner Laura Flecknell on the summit of British Camp.
To qualify for the award, the 14-year-old Christopher Whitehead Language College pupil had to be a member of the Guide unit for more than two years.
She also had to plan and complete 10 varied challenges and attend a conservation weekend with Guides from other units around the county.
Mrs Flecknell said: “This is the highest award a Guide can achieve, and is the first awarded to a Guide in 10th Worcester Guides for nearly 10 years.
“It shows that Kristina is enjoying being a Guide and that she has succeeded in completing the many challenges that the award presents.”
