Between 10.30am and 3.30pm children can collect a FREE trail from the Treasury Desk then go in search of the Easter Chicks hidden among the magnificent treasures. Once they’ve found the chicks they can visit the Cathedral Coffee Shop to collect a free mini egg.
If you are reasonably fit, can climb 269 steps up and 269 down again you can join a Cathedral Tower Tours and enjoy the view from the roof. On a clear day it is possible to see forty miles across the countryside. On the way up are visits to the ringing chamber and the bell chamber, and there’s the chance to buy a certificate for £1 to show that you made it to the top.
Tickets £4, children £1.
Tickets are sold in the Cathedral Shop on the day of the tour on a first come, first served basis, and each tour is limited to 25 people. Note that in certain weather conditions Tower Tours may have to be cancelled.
