A WORCESTER opera singer (and her dog) has promised their performance on Britain’s Got Talent tonight will be unforgettable.
Pippa Langhorne and her eight-month-old Lhasa Apso puppy Buddy are hoping their performance on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent semi-final will impress viewers enough to secure them a spot in tomorrow night’s final.
The duo – who travelled to London yesterday – have been practising “every minute of every day” in order to make sure everything goes perfectly tonight.
And, while Miss Langhorne, aged 20, of Rainbow Hill, will not reveal what she and Buddy have prepared, she has promised it will leave the audience amazed.
“What we are doing has never been done on Britain’s Got Talent before,” she said. “You know when you see something you know you will never forget?
“I can freely say it is going to be that.
“What Britain’s Got Talent have done for me is just wow – it is incredible.
I saw the studio on Sunday – it is out of this world.”
The ITV show only revealed who was through to the live semifinals on Sunday evening and contestants have been battling it out each night this week.
If Miss Langhorne and Buddy do get through they will join nine other acts – including dancer James Hobley and group New Bounce.
And although Miss Langhorne would love to win the £100,000 prize – which she would use to launch her singing career and buy a treat for Buddy – she said the standard is so high it could be any one of the 40 acts who were chosen for the semifinals.
Miss Langhorne said: “I think everybody in there deserves to be there. It almost doesn’t matter who wins because obviously they are amazing.
“This year I have no idea who will win – everybody is funny and everybody is good, and everybody has little bits of amazing in them.”
The show will be screened at 7.30pm.
