BUNTING fever swept the nation during the run-up to the Royal Wedding, but one area of Worcester is keeping its spirit alive by asking residents to design their own bunting for a summer fete.
People of all ages are being asked to design bunting to decorate the Warndon Villages summer fete on Sunday, July 10. Jenny Fuller, who is working with Warndon Parish Council to organise the fete, said: “With a few volunteers we will get it all done. We also need volunteers to help put it together.”
A triangular template is available from the community centre, in Ankerage Green. All pieces have to be in by Monday, June 20.
The fete is replacing the annual Warndon ‘fun run’ – which was cancelled by the parish council last year because it had “lost its way” – to make way for a more communitybased fun day.
