A motorcyclist is fighting for his life after a car crash outside a Worcestershire pub.
The 39-year-old man, believed to be called Mick and from Worcester, was seriously injured in a crash between his Honda CB900 Hornet motorbike and a VW Golf car being driven by a 90-year-old man.
Police said it appeared the Golf was travelling towards Hereford on the A4103 and the motorbike was travelling in the opposite direction before the incident occurred outside the New Inn pub, Storridge, near Malvern.
They have appealed for witnesses to the crash on Sunday to come forward.
The biker remains in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham after being airlifted from the crash scene.
Two air ambulances were called to the pub’s car park after one suffered mechanical problems.
Landlord of the New Inn pub Alan Jephcott said: “Apparently his heart had stopped.
“They flew him off to the QE.
“It was about 12.15pm. Two air ambulances were here.
“The one was having trouble with his chopper so he phoned and got another one there. They were here straight away.
“The road was closed until about 4.30pm.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has other information for police is asked to contact Force Operations Support Team officers at Hereford by calling 0300 3333000.
