A RECOVERING alcoholic attacked his step-son’s van after his ex-wife refused to let him into her home, a court was told.
Graham Higgins pleaded guilty to causing £650 of damage to the vehicle, belonging to Enviromontel Ltd, at Worcester Magistrates Court.
Louise Mead, prosecuting, said the 41-year-old attended the home of his ex-wife in Tenbury Wells and damaged a Mercedes Sprinter van.
Higgins, of High Tree Bank, Leintwardine, Craven Arms, Shropshire, was given a four-month community order with a four-month curfew requirement from 8pm to 6am each day – except Tuesdays and Fridays when he attends Alcoholics Anonymous.
On those days, he is required to remain at home from 11pm to 6am. He must also pay compensation of £650.
