THE first Worcestershire Arts Trail has been hailed as a success.
Hundreds of arts and crafts lovers not only visited a number of galleries and special exhibitions, but also got a peek behind the scenes at artists’ workshops and studios at locations across the county.
The event ran from Friday until yesterday.
People travelled from far and wide to look at the art, buy a few original pieces and even enjoy a cup of tea and cake.
Batik artist Sarah Jones, of Eek Batik, opened her self-built workshop, which is hidden around the corner from Dyson Perrins School, Malvern, to art-lovers for the weekend.
“It's been a real pleasure to open up my studio and garden to the public,” she said. “The response has been terrific, people visiting all day taking a genuine interest in the technique of batik and some having a go.”
