THE Mayor of Worcester was on hand today to celebrate the opening of a newly refurbished cafe.
The cafe in the Pump House Environment Centre, Gheluvelt Park, which is run by the Duckworth Worcestershire Trust, was reopened on Thursday. Roisin Hanks, project manager for the trust, was on hand to show the group the new cafe and explain the ethos behind the Environment Centre.
She explained how the cafe is using locally sourced and organic produce where possible as well as providing a range of fair trade and specialist products catering for vegan and gluten-free diets. The Pump House will now be open seven days a week from 10am until 6pm in summer and until 4pm in the winter. The Mayor, Councillor David Tibbutt, was joined by the Mayoress Jane Tibbutt, Cecil Duckworth, Chairman of the Duck-worth Worcestershire Trust, his wife Beatrice Duckworth and Louise Brook ,who are both trustees.
