A VILLAGE near Worcester has hosted its May fair.
People flocked to Rushwick Cricket Club in Upper Wick Lane, Rushwick, for the event on Sunday.
Live music from local rock, pop and folk bands provided a seven-hour soundtrack, while morris men and the Worcester Warriors cheerleaders also kept the crowds entertained.
Most of the money raised through pony rides, tombolas, raffles, stalls and refreshments will be donated to Rushwick Pre-School.
Co-ordinator Mark Chappell said it was great to see so many people getting involved.
He said: “It was a resounding success. Nearly every single group from the village was involved in some way, from the WI to the rounders team to the gardening club. The whole community came out to take part.”
There was also a junior football tournament, bouncy castle and rickshaw rides.
